When Do You Change Your Pod? Let’s Share Tips!

Hey everyone! :magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Let’s talk about something we all deal with – how do you know when it’s time to change your pod (MTL vape)? And how often does that happen for you?

I’ll start:
Recently, I use my XROS pro for MTL experience, and I’ve noticed a few clear signs that tell me it’s time for a new pod:
:one: The flavor drops – when it starts tasting muted, burnt, or just “off”
:two: Less vapor production – even with a full battery and enough e-liquid
:three: A weird gurgling sound – which usually means the coil is on its last legs

On average, I change my pod every 1-2 weeks , depending on how sweet or dark my e-liquid is. Dessert flavors tend to gunk up coils faster!

What about you?:backhand_index_pointing_down::hammer_and_wrench:

  • Any pro tips to make pods last longer?

  1. Signs to swap pods: When the flavor starts tasting burnt, weak, or you see the liquid turning dark.
  2. How long they last: Usually around 1–2 weeks, depending on how often you vape.
  3. Pro tips: Avoid chain vaping, don’t let the pod run dry, and use the right wattage for your coil. :dashing_away:

Never chain vape with pod devices as the coil gets extra warm ( carmalises sweet juices) it dries out cotton quicker as not enough time to saturate between vapes resulting in quicker burnout.

Use puff counters always reset when you install fresh pod with juices I use it’s generally around the 2000/2400 puffs you will notice changes in your taste and performance time to change

Always prime properly if you experience burnt at beginning you already weakened the cotton and never let your juice run low this helps extend pod life.

Right! One time I ran out of juice and didn’t refill it in time. When I refilled a few days later, I found that the cotton turnd very dry and could not fully absorb juice. Then the pod dies quickly

Another nice tip I learned to extend lifespan of coil/ pod as this works with all pods/coils

my preferred much loved coil and my go to is the GTX 0.4 ohm wattage range of 26-32 watts.

My sweet spot and preference is 27watts I’d generally change coil at 2000 puffs as I found this was when the taste of my e-juice would start to fade to avoid the dreaded nasty burnt taste. And to avoid coil failure when outdoors.

My ritual was remove old coil leave setting already set give device proper clean drop liquid into port holes of fresh coil and then install it to pod or tank refill and leave 5-10 mins to saturate. This I found was wrong.

I found that on removing old coil I’d drop wattage to 20 watts you can do this to all coil pod replacement drop below recommended wattage after my ritual of cleaning device and priming fresh coil I’d start to take a few draws slowly increasing wattage by about+2 watts for each draw now I change coils at around 2600 puffs this was around 30% increase on lifespan.

As all new pods coils need broke in to gradually wake up as first few draws are always weak or extra warm before reaching peak getting properly saturated getting vacuum of pod/tank.
