What are the subjective differences between smoking cigarettes vs. vaping?

I smoked for 8 years. It was a daily habit that I never thought I could break. The smell, the cough, the wheezing—none of it stopped me. But one day, I decided to give vaping a shot, mostly out of curiosity.

The change was almost immediate. Within weeks, my chronic morning cough disappeared. I could take long walks without feeling out of breath, and for the first time in years, I climbed a hill without stopping. The flavors made vaping feel less like a compromise and more like a new experience. My clothes no longer smelled like smoke, and my home felt fresher.

Vaping isn’t perfect, and I know we’re still learning about its long-term effects, but for me, it was a lifeline. It let me quit cigarettes while still keeping nicotine in my life.

What about you—have you experienced the differences between smoking and vaping?

Yes, I notice a difference between smoking and vaping. Smoking feels harsher and more intense on the throat, while vaping is smoother and lighter. The vapor from e-cigarettes has a more varied aroma, whereas cigarette smoke is stronger and has a sharp smell. Vaping also doesn’t cause bad breath or teeth stains like smoking.

Other than better breathing,i noticed an increased in my appetite☺️ wanting to eat more than i used to
