Weak flavour and airy vapour from first mix

I got the Flavour Boss Tangy! Passion Fruit Vape Juice 250ml Starter Kit. The boss shot contained 50ml (20%) flavour concentrate, a 10mg Nic Salt Pack (14 x 18mg Nic Salt Shots, 50VG/50PG), and 150ml VG, resulting in a 50/50 VG/PG ratio.

I followed the instructions by adding the Nic Salt shots first, then filling the 250ml bottle up to the shoulder with VG, and finally shaking it for a few minutes. However, when it came to vaping the juice, I could only taste a slight hint of the flavour, and the vapour felt quite airy. Even after letting the juice sit to allow the coil to resaturate, the first few hits were very harsh.

The device I’m using is Vaporesso Luxe XR Max, and I’ve tested the juice with 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, and 0.8Ω coils, all with similar results; airy vapour and weak flavour. According to the coil’s compatibility chart, 50VG/50PG juices should work fine with these coils. I’ve had good experiences with 10ml Nic Salt juices before, so I’m a bit confused about what I might be doing wrong in the mixing process.

I’ve allowed the juice to steep for four days, but there hasn’t been any noticeable improvement in flavour or vapour production, even though the mixed bottle smells strongly of the intended flavour.

50/50 ratio is the right choice for the coils

But from what I see from your mix at 14x10ml nic shots 140ml should give you 10mg nic strength for a 250 ml mix at 50-50

So 50ml flavour concentrate I take it it’s pg based

+ 140 nic shot = 190ml this would leave 60ml for vg

For a 250 ml mix bottle

This would mean -5 ml of PG for that ratio it should have been 5ml pg 55ml VG added to 50 ml flavour concentrate pg based and 140 ml 50-50 mix nic shots although not a big difference but the extra 5ml VG could alter flavour but not by much.

These starter kits are never accurate if using the 250 ml bottle the place you purchased it from should also tell you steep time some are 7 days some 14 days some even longer and to steep store in a dark place like in a box or drawer out of light and shake lightly daily

Best to use online calculator

Buy separate pg/vg and empty 60ml or 100ml bottles some syringes your 50ml concentrate and you get the right mix.

But bear in mind this is freebase so flavours won’t be as strong as ready mixed salt nic flavours or double concentrated mixes for pods.
