Hey there, new vapers! :waving_hand: Choosing your first e-liquid can feel overwhelming with hundreds of options out there. Don’t worry—here’s a simple guide to help you start off right.

1. Start with the Basics: PG/VG Ratio

  • 50/50 or 60/40 PG/VG: Best for pod systems (like XROS or Caliburn). Thinner liquid wicks faster, giving better flavor and throat hit.
  • 70/30 VG/PG: Ideal for sub-ohm tanks. Thicker clouds, smoother draw, but needs more power.

2. Nicotine Strength Matters

  • 3mg-6mg (freebase): Great for direct-lung (DL) vaping. Smooth with moderate throat hit.
  • 20mg-50mg (nic salts): Perfect for mouth-to-lung (MTL) pods. Stronger hit, less harshness.

3. Flavor Profiles: Play It Safe at First

  • Fruity (e.g., strawberry, mango): Easy to enjoy, hard to mess up.
  • Menthol/Icy: Refreshing and clean—great if you like a cooling sensation.
  • Avoid heavy desserts/tobaccos at first: They can be intense or coil-clogging for beginners.

Nice post hard to recall my first fav but when I think back I used to love the fruit pastille but only made in one particular shop others I tried were not even close the shop closed down unfortunately but I managed to trace where he bought his supplies from and then started to mix my own.

Of late though I go with coffee flavours for all day vape

And spot on beginners should stick with well known brands so as not put off with the cheaper less unknown brands at least until they get used to vaping there is a wide variety out there.

And for beginners I’d recommend pod systems 60-40 to 50-50 mix ratios forget the 70-30 or 80-20 until they become more advanced into vaping a lot of e- liquids are made for pods.

My choice for vaping is always fruity and icy.
Every single one of them except for strawberry and watermelon.
If Id had to pick one (which is hard!) my current most liked liquid is “Bar juice 5000 Banana ice”.

Works wonderful on a 0.8 pod with a xros 5 pro.

My first love was a classic mango nic salt smooth

The nexus white grape cucumber and apple was not for me tasted like shampoo lol
The just juice grape Alloa is incredible and now on my fav list it’s like the purple grape bubblegum I used to get as a kid
And as I stated on other posts it has now let me match my juice to my vape like disposables colours were based on flavour now I do same with my armour G lol

Green for my grape and Alloa, black for my blackcurrant and lemonade and brown for my caramel macchiato now I need one for red not a fan of strawberry and one for my white :joy: that way I don’t suffer from flavour ghosting or accidentally pouring juice into a device with a different flavour already installed.
