Vaporesso XROS mini 5 pods. (Possible safety concern)Can someone please help me out?

Hi everyone—I’m getting back into vaping and recently picked up a budget-friendly Vaporesso XROS Mini 5. Simple device.

Today after a refill, the pod started spitting. It’s happened before. I covered the mouthpiece with a tissue and did several hard pulls (maybe 10–15), but juice kept coming up. I Googled it and saw advice to gently blow into the mouthpiece; after a bit, that seemed to help.

Here’s my concern: looking into the pod, I can see lots of fine fibers—looks like cotton—and a longer, thin strand or two floating in the tank. The cotton where it’s visible looks frayed or torn. I’ve noticed tiny fibers before and didn’t worry, but this time it’s more obvious. Is it still safe to vape with this pod?

For context, I’m using 0.8Ω pods with 24–50 mg juice. I’m not very vape-savvy and went with a cheap starter to stop spending so much on disposables, but these pods seem to burn out quickly. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong.

Any input would be appreciated—thanks!

Welcome to community nice to have you with us

I personally have never saw fibers in pod before could be cotton from coil or fluff from your pocket found its way in.

When purchasing your pods check authenticity scratch panel on packet to make sure pods are genuine and only buy from reputable suppliers as there are a lot of cheap fakes out there,

If you experience gurgling or liquid in mouthpiece a few sharp flicks should clear it,

If coils burn out too fast this could be a few reasons causing this improper priming of coil ( not giving enough time to saturate liquid on fist fill ) it is recommended when you install a fresh pod fill and leave for 5/10 mins to allow coil to absorb liquid, you only need do this on first fill of pod

Never let liquid get to low

Wattage set too high for coil causes premature burn out

Chain vaping if you vape in succession coil gets to hot and burns as not allowing time for coil to absorb fresh liquid

And liquid choice also shortens lifespan of coil these pods 0.8 ohm are suited for 50-50 liquid only if you use different ratios example 70-30 or 80-20 coil will burn out as liquid is to thick and won’t absorb properly in coil.

Hope this helps, best wishes for Christmas and 2026
