Is my vapour Faulty

I recently brought a vaporesso XRO5 3 MINI But i dont think it is working correctly, every time i fill it up it is great for a couple of minutes then the taste of the juice which is what i really like disappears and i get a burning taste as if the pod needs changing plus the mouth piece is hot on my lips , would you say this is faulty and should the shop i got it from exchange it.

Hi doogie sounds like your coil is burnt out try another pod and check your e liquid is a 50-50 mix I’ve heard of people using 70/30 liquid in the xcross mini with a 1.0ohm or 1.2ohm pod but they burn out quickly best to just use a 50PG-50VG liquid but check your liquid hope that helps

Thanks for your reply certainly aint the coil, but thats what it tastes like, i have used 3 new pods all the same issue i get the full flavour of the liquid when i first try it but then after a few draws the flavour goes i get the slight burning taste and it feels hot on my lips, not sure what you nean about the mixture but i will look into it all i can say is i buy a 50ml bottle of gold shine liquid add a small bottle of nicotine and shake it up to mix it this is what i have always done with other vapes and never had a problem but this is the first time i have used a mini vapour, when you say 50-50 mix do you mean liquid and nicotine.

Sorry to hear your still having issues if you just purchased device fill out warranty card to register your device for warranty these pod devices work best at 50pg/50vg mix liquids can be sold in different mixes 30pg/70vg , 80vg/20pg the different mixes is for those using sub ohm devices so there is a possibility the retailer has given you a mix for sub ohm high powered device it may tell you on the bottle I hope that helps

You could try a different liquid to see if issue persists also make sure when you fill your pod for first time let it sit approximately 5 mins to saturate coil if trying to vape on a dry coil it burns out .

I have just read on the liquid bottle that it contains nicotine should i be adding more nicotine to the bottle

The retailer should ask what strength when you purchase your liquid you can if you want add more nic if you want higher strength as you posted earlier it’s a 50ml shortfill they generally come with 0 nic and you add your own

Ok thanks for all your help I’ll try a different liquid.

Your welcome hope it helps when buying liquids shortfills generally bigger bottles 30 -50-100 mills ect only leave enough room to add 20ml nic so when purchasing ask for 50-50 liquids at 3 or 6 nic strength as generally can’t get higher strength you can buy 10 mill originally mixed at 5-10-20 strength again ask for 50-50 liquids these work best in pod devices or lower wattage devices.

Ok thanks again :+1:

Might be the priming. I recommend doing the following with a new pod which never failed me so far;

Fill up just below the black mouthpiece, leave a little space in there.

Wait 20 minutes.

Take pod out of device, hit the pod without the vape attached.

Insert pod back into vape and take one or two drags.

Wait another ten minutes and the coil should be saturated and completely fine.

With this I never had a burned coil so far, and no leaks as well. When you refill the pod you can just refill and immediately use it because the wicking is already done.

As Eddiemcg mentioned, make sure you use 50pg/50vg ejuice in these pods so the coil wicks better. Nicotine amount doesnt matter for the coil.

Also, if your mouthpiece feels hot im pretty sure you hold your vape against your lips, the mouthpiece should be between your lips.

Thanks for your help will try that but got to ask when you say hit it i presume you mean take a drag.

From what you describe, it is not a problem of the liquid, the amount of nicotine or coil priming.

Xros 3 mini is a draw activated device, if it leaks liquid towards the activation sensor, two things can happen: it stops working or it keeps activaded even when you are not using It.

For me your case would be the second one, you use it a couple of times without problem, but when you want to use it again, the device was vaporizing, that is why the mouthpiece is hot and the coils have a burnt taste, because they were overheated several times without you actually using them.

There is no “practical” solution that I can recommend to you, the seller can exchange the product but could also deny the warranty for this same problem. It would be a test of luck.
