To put it bluntly: many e-cigarette devices aren’t just “fragile,” they’re designed to break easily—condensation entering the sensor causes accidental activation or malfunction, circuit boards lack even basic protective coatings, boxes advertised as waterproof and dustproof oxidize after just a couple of light rains, touchscreens and USB-C ports become the most vulnerable combination for portable devices, proprietary cartridges and firmware locks turn “safety” into a sales funnel, blaming users for problems and offering warranties as short as disposable. If harm reduction is truly important, stop using “reusable” as a disposable label: seal the internal components, make ports replaceable, publish standards, pass third-party testing, and provide a one-year warranty and repair guidelines; otherwise, admit it’s just a “high-priced disposable” product disguised as recyclable.

Spot on—without sealed internals, coated PCBs, open standards, and a 12‑month warranty, “reusable” vapes are just high-priced disposables in disguise.
