Slide-Innovation Vape

Concept For this future-forward vape design, I chose a slide mechanism as the core innovation—merging function, aesthetics, and protection into one seamless motion…

When closed, the device remains compact and clean, with its internal screen and components fully shielded—ideal for mobility and long-term durability. Sliding it open instantly activates the display, creating an intuitive and futuristic user experience…
The slide is not just a visual feature—it’s a smart design solution that anticipates the needs of tomorrow: practical, ergonomic, and emotionally engaging for the modern user…

I personally avoid devices with movable parts as more can go wrong with them shorting it’s lifespan

I appreciate your opinion. It really comes down to build quality. If a device is made with precise design and premium materials, movable parts can actually add functionality and durability. Take modern foldable phones, for example ,their hinges are tested to withstand hundreds of thousands of folds, and if something breaks, you can simply replace that specific component instead of the entire device

It’s great for showing off like a cellphone

Dont get me wrong it’s a great concept I love the idea but would be more a novelty device rather than an everyday device something to show your friends.

As you used the comparisons between phone and vape there’s also premium prices comparable for such robust premium parts to achieve the level of indestructible components for a vape device it would cost the user a pretty penny as for replacing the failed components I agree again great idea but why buy a device knowing it would fail eventually due to movable parts and couldn’t be considered reliable as it could fail at any given moment and you have to source parts to repair it.

I used to buy AIO devices at £135 each great devices but if you dropped it the side panels would fly off one direction the tank would fly out along with battery so you’d spend the time to pick up and reconstruct your device to make sure you had it all and that it still worked

When you think what a vape device is and does it consists of a battery, a coil and tank/pod they all do same job and work the same that concept won’t change as this is the main function in how it works the only changes you will see in a device is menu added items improvements on coils and the usability

So now I buy one piece device apart from pod which is a degradable part at £35 each away from all the gimmicks and get just as much if not more enjoyment from those stylish and more reliable devices.

yeah, it does look cool to show off like a cellphone. but like eddie said, for daily use it might be a bit tricky if the parts aren’t durable or need constant fixing

agree, for daily use it’s a hassle if parts easily fall off or break, especially considering the price. But I guess some people like it because it’s unique and fun to show off to friends. So it really comes down to what each person needs, some prefer something practical and durable, while others enjoy the style and the new experience

The sliding mechanism concept feels sleek and purposeful — protecting the internals while delivering a satisfying, futuristic user experience the moment it opens.

Yes, that’s right, especially for those who like unique and interesting device models

that’s one of the plus points of this device if it is realized,
but the most important thing that needs to be considered is the good components and good manufacturing quality too
