I’ve always been told that high VG juices need a higher wattage to vape properly. I’ve been running my setup at 50W with a 70/30 VG/PG blend and it’s been smooth sailing. But, I recently picked up a new juice that’s even thicker (like 80% VG) and now I’m second-guessing my setup.
I hit up a couple of shops and they’re both giving me the nod that 50W should still cut it, but something’s off. The flavor isn’t popping and I feel like I’m missing clouds. My rig can push up to 80W without blinking, but I don’t want to torch my coils if that’s overkill.
Stopped by another shop, and the guy behind the counter is like, “No way, dude, you gotta crank it up for that thick stuff, at least 65W.” So, I’ve got conflicting advice here. Been doing some online sleuthing and getting mixed signals too. Some forums are saying stick to 50W, others are all about pushing higher.
So… what gives? Anyone vaping high VG juices at lower watts and getting killer flavor and clouds? Or should I just bump it up and see what happens? And hey, if I do go higher, am I gonna be shopping for coils by the end of the week?
Any advice before I potentially fry something would be awesome – thanks!
