I’ve noticed sweeter liquids seem burn coils faster

I wanted to share my experience with using sweeter e-liquids. I’ve been vaping for a while and usually stick to fruit flavors, which lasted me about a month without any issues. Recently, I decided to switch to a dessert-flavored juice, and I noticed my new pod burned out way quicker than the others.

I was getting tight draws, and burnt coil after just a day, and a noticeable burnt taste made the whole experience unpleasant! The only thing I changed was the flavor, so I’m starting to think the sweetness is the culprit. Has anyone else had similar issues with sweet flavors? :worried:

I totally feel you! I’ve noticed that sweeter e-liquids can really mess with coils too. :lollipop: I used to stick with fruity flavors without any issues, but when I switched to a dessert flavor, I had the same problem—burnt coils and tight draws in no time.

It seems like those extra sweeteners just gunk up the coils faster, which is such a bummer. To try and make them last longer, I’ve found that cranking up the wattage a bit or letting the coil soak longer before hitting it can help.

Totally feel your pain! :raising_hand_man: Sweet flavors, especially dessert ones, tend to have more sweeteners like sucralose, which can caramelize on your coil and cause it to burn out faster. I’ve noticed the same thing when I switch from fruity or menthol flavors to desserts.

May be dessert flavor viscosity is higher than fruit, fluid not good, and the pod ohm is low , The oil pass is not timely cause burnt.

Correct! Such as british liquid brands, they are more sweeter. Our XROS pods can be compitable with the most of liquid brands in market. We suggest you can make a balance with output power and liquid. Even though you increase the output power, this may cause the lifespan shorter. Otherwise, you can use lower resistance of pods or coils.

Yes, I’m having same issue. 2 coils (1 x 0.2 and 1 x 0.4) burnt in 4000 puffs. 0.4 lasted much less than the 0.2. I’m using Revenger Target 200. Was using on recommended wattage 70W for 0.2 and 55W for 0.4.

But mostly I have to blame the juices …

Some sweet juices can be made up with Sucralose & Stevia , stevia is 50-500 times sweeter than sugar mixed with other flavours that may contain sugar so it’s down to the brand mixing your juice ( they may use too much )it best used in 50-50 liquids low wattage to generate less heat higher wattage burns sweeteners quicker causing it to caramelise quicker and shorten the lifespan of your coil most sweet e-liquids desserts are fine to use on low wattage devices but you may encounter some issues by the odd mixing brand.
stick to the correct wattage for your coil using coils outside the parameters set for your coils also makes them burn out quicker.
