How to Spot Good vs. Bad E-Liquid at a Glance

  1. Check the Bottle
UK/EU law forces every legit nic-juice to be in a 10 ml bottle, state ≤20 mg/ml, carry a UKCA mark + expiry date, and appear on the MHRA public list . No stamp? Hard pass.

  2. Read the Ratio
A clean 50/50 PG/VG is the sweet spot for most pods; thick 70/30 VG is for cloud chasers. Sludgy or watery juice that doesn’t match your coil = burnt hits .

  3. Trust the Shop & Smell
Buy only from UKVIA/IBVTA member stores; avoid back-shelf mystery bottles. Good juice smells fresh; if it’s dark, syrupy or smells like old socks, bin it .

Stick to those three checks and your taste buds (and coils) will thank you.
