DIY E-Liquid: 5 Common Mistakes to Avoid! 🧪

Salute to all DIY masters!
Mixing your own e-liquid is fun and rewarding—but it’s easy to stumble into some classic beginner traps. After plenty of trial and (lots of) error, I’ve put together this quick list of common DIY mixing mistakes and how to avoid them. Save time, money, and your taste buds!

:prohibited: 1. Eyeballing Measurements

Problem: Guessing nicotine strength or flavor percentages can lead to harsh hits or bland juice.
Fix: Always use a digital scale (not measuring cups!) for precision.

:prohibited: 2. Using Old or Poor-Quality Nicotine

Problem: Oxidized nicotine turns dark and tastes peppery.
Fix: Store nicotine in amber glass bottles in the freezer.

:prohibited: 3. Overflavoring

Problem: More flavor ≠ better taste. Too much concentrate mutes flavor or causes coil gunk.
Fix: Start with recommended percentages (check DIY recipe sites!).

:prohibited: 4. Skipping the Steep

Problem: Shaking and vaping right away? Some creams and desserts taste like perfume.
Fix: Let mixes steep in a cool, dark place—days or weeks depending on the profile.

:prohibited: 5. Ignoring Safety

Problem: Handling nicotine or concentrates without gloves or ventilation.
Fix: Wear gloves, work in a clean space, and keep pets/kids away.

:brain: Bonus Tip: Start with simple 2-3 ingredient recipes before creating complex blends!

I much prefer using online calculators and syringes makes life easier and more accurate

Where you select how much you want to mix how many flavours to add nic strength and liquid ratio it works out exactly how much ml to add for each of your contents.
