I’d like to share my story. I was a heavy smoker since school until a coworker offered me a pod.
I started using a pod in March 2025, beginning with the Xros Mini and 30 mg saltnic liquid. Within three months of vaping, I quit smoking completely because, for some reason, the smell of smoke became unpleasant, and trying a cigarette again tasted awful.

Long story short, from the fourth month until now, and still being a novice, I decided to try a pod-friendly liquid with a conventional tobacco flavor (I guess I was feeling nostalgic ) that had only 12 mg of nicotine. Ever since, the urge to smoke again has lingered. It finally clicked for me yesterday when I randomly asked ChatGPT about quitting smoking for good.

It turns out that for those who want to quit smoking entirely, it’s recommended to use high nicotine like saltnic because the nicotine intake into our body is almost equivalent to cigarettes. That’s why in the early days of using a pod with 30mg nicotine, the smell of smoke became unpleasant.

Now, I’m already stuck with leftover 12 mg nicotine pod-friendly liquid seems a waste to throw it out. Once it’s finished, I plan to buy saltnic.

That’s my story and research. Please correct me if I’m wrong, and feel free to share your stories too

I used to smoke too, switched to vaping before the POD era, back when we used MOD with 3-9 mg freebase liquid, and managed to quit completely. Many of my friends who use pods with 30 mg liquid still smoke. The point is, vaping is just a tool - ultimately it comes down to our own determination.
