I have to disagree with some of the points raised here as disposables can have higher concentration of nic not suitable for beginners easy to use which means they can fall into trap of when time to switch to refillable they feel too much hassle with all the refilling ect not all disposables are cheap there is cheaper refillables out there and def cheaper in the long run . for refillable devices They are good in theory for beginners but can also be off putting if they buy one then disslike flavour they then discard the whole vape and could put them off completely lol disposable is good for emergencies if out and your vape fails then you could buy a disposable as a temp fix but no I wouldn’t recommend a disposable for beginners .
Well, I personally would prefer that younger people not smoke or vape, but if they have to vape I would say a disposable is easier but a box mod gives the ability to have a lower concentration of nic. I started with a box mod and found it a bit daunting. I think most younger folks will not want to mess with it. YMMV
I wouldn’t say a box mod for first vape I’d suggest xcross where you just fill and vape where you can get either 12mg nic strength or lower depending on smoking habits gives more control and more understanding about vaping instead of ready made 20 mg liquids or higher with high concentration flavours.
I usually feel like older people who are trying to get off smoking should start with a disposable. They want the least hassle and a good heavy nicshot to keep them of the cancersticks.
Young adults are creative, they can figure out how an xros mini works within mere seconds. Its as simple as charging and refilling the pod. Also much cheaper.
Its a shame that all these disposables are such a hype with the youth because an xros and a bottle of liquid are way more budgetfriendly than using a new dispo every week. Adults who get off smoking can afford it as smoking is 10x the cost of using dispos.
I used dispos at first to quit smoking, then I used an xros to ween myself of the dispos.
When I have coworkers that talk to me about quitting I usually tell them to use a dispo for a couple weeks and if they like the results I send them a link to buy an xros mini, and advice them to buy two for rotation.
Then that is two addictions you need to combat lol keep it simple but yes I do get your point along with tinky disposable is an easy option to get started and get into the world of vaping as flavours are stronger and no hassle take from pkt and puff away it is a good start but if I were to recommend vaping to those wishing to quit I’d steer towards refillable without the worry they can become complacent looking towards the easy fix and instead of being addicted to the more stronger nicotine of disposables and more concentrated flavours. Used in 60.40 ratio mixes .
I agree with you. First of all, I MUST say that if you’re not a vaper, you should never touch a vape.
Honestly, refillable is hard to use for the newbie.
For my experience, I have to choose the e-juice and the cartridge. 3 years ago, I got a bad refillable device, I have to throw it cause the burning problem.
PS: I also waste 3 days for refillable learning.
Let’s be real—disposable vapes are way easier to use than open-system devices. But if we’re talking long-term savings, open systems win hands down. Most disposables these days run around $20 a kit, and if you find anything decent under ten bucks, you should worry about its quality.

If you just go into a shop pick up a disposable for first time you don’t get that needed advice and can choose one with a very high nic. So it’s best advice for those wishing to quit smoking and transition to vaping it is best they visit a proper vape shop.
I’ve got a feeling the disposable vape hype might cool down in the next few years. With all these new bans popping up worldwide, who knows how these brands will adapt.
They told after ban comes into effect only re- re- usable devices will be legal but I imagine the people who use disposable vapes will just turn to pre filled pod devices that are rechargeable and reusable people will just buy pods pre-filled with pre-installed coils.
I have to say the dispoable control just a fucking political trick. It does not solve the fundamental problem.
