Why do more people choose disposable vapes instead of refillable ones?

I’m currently on a business trip in the U.S., and I ran out of my vape, so I decided to check out some vape shops to see what options they have. After visiting a few stores, I noticed that about 80% of the shelves are stocked with disposable vapes, while open-system devices are much less available. Do people in the U.S. just not prefer open-system vapes?

I think it has to do with the fact that most disposable vapes are sweeter or have a syrupy taste to them whille the e-juice on the market are not as sweet. That is what I have found. I started with the disposables and switched to refillable but really can’t find more than a few e-juices that are the sweet stuff that I now crave! LOL

Same here, nearby shops only sell disposables.i had to go online for batteries and eliquid.Even big distributors had stop operations, maybe because of strict regulations and theyre not fully compliant yet.

That’s an interesting take! I’ve noticed the same—disposables do tend to have that extra sweetness. Have you found any good ones that come close to what you’re looking for?

That also makes sense. Actually, it’s easier to buy online, having a huge selection without having to leave your home and being able to search directly for your favorite products.

The best ones I’ve found are Frozen Fruit Monster Mixed Berry Ice and Jam Monster Peach. I tend to like the ice or menthol versions and think it’s harder to find sweet flavors in those. I’d be interested to hear what others have to say regarding sweet flavors. Have you found any?

It depends on the brand?
Logically, Disposable and refillable use same e-juice supplier in in terms of same brand.

Ok, I get where you are coming from, but what disposable manufacturer also sells e-juice? Unless they are marketing under different names on each platform, e-juice and disposable, I sure can’t find one. But maybe I’m ignorant.
I’m also thinking that there are only so many base flavor suppliers and the mixing and presentation of different juices has to do with the flavor of the juice.
For example I got the Monster Peach which I like. But I tried several other peach flavors I did not like because they didn’t really taste peachy. I keep searching for a peach flavor that tastes like the Geek Bar Juicy Peach Ice or the Foger Juicy Peach Ice. I have a suspicion that those both use the same juice supplied by the same juice supplier since they taste almost identical to me. Just my thoughts.

It makes sense; maybe the juice supplier behind those brands is the same one :joy:

By looking at the vape stores, you are only looking at a certain segment of spontaneous purchases for immediate needs. Those who plan ahead look at markets and buy in bulk or online, and so rarely go to the local vape shops.

That’s a really good point! I guess vape shops cater more to impulse buyers or those who need something right away. Makes sense why disposables dominate the shelves!

Elfliq is a big brand sell the e juice that’s in the elf bar there are a few sell double concentrate juice ect to match disposables if shopping online search for juices recommended for pod devices there you will find same juice in disposables, there is a bigger profit to retailers selling disposables hence why some retailers only choose to sell them and it’s easier for them stocking packs of disposables rather than a large selection of e juices coils ect,

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I’m shopping online on the wrong place because I don’t see a juice marketed by the same name as the disposable brand. I guess I’ll have to look harder! Thanks for advising me!

Hi Shasta

This should give you idea what to look for online

That’s what I mean.
I have tried Elfliq and Elfbar, but honestly, it’s very different experience.
Even though they may from same e-juice supplier…

Yes, getting a device that has adjustable wattage is the best. Vaporesso XROS Pro is the best for me.
