Hey UVers, Here is the review of XROS 5 (FINALLY! ) Let’s have a quick sight of it first: The VAPORESSO XROS 5 is one of the most advanced XROS devices we’ve seen yet. It features a beautiful 0.88-inch color screen, changeable themes, adjustable power, a 1500 mAh battery, and both button- and draw-activation. It also charges in under 30 minutes! The kit includes two updated pods with COREX 3.0 technology.

Build quality and design
Every device in the XROS lineup has always felt made for me—clean, simple, and mature in design—and the XROS 5 keeps that tradition alive. Its finish is sleek, durable, and resists fingerprints (though this may vary by color). The button feels satisfying, and the airflow slider offers nice tension.
That said, the XROS 5 introduces a couple of notable changes. It now includes a color screen with themes, animations, and other modern features. Plus, the button and airflow slider have been moved to recessed sides, reducing the chance of accidental presses or adjustments. Longtime users might need a moment to adjust, but it’s a thoughtful tweak.
Getting started
Using the XROS 5 isn’t as instantly intuitive as the Mini, but it’s still easy to pick up—especially with the handy (removable) cheat sheet sticker on the device.
- 1 click: fire (if enabled)
- 2 clicks: change theme
- 3 clicks: change power level
- 4 clicks: open menu (lock screen, toggle animations, clear puff count, disable button)
- 5 clicks: power on/off
Most menu selections require holding the button to confirm; otherwise, the screen reverts without changes.
Like other XROS 4 series models, most pods use a three-level power system: Eco, Normal, and Power. Adjustable wattage is only available with 0.4-ohm pods (sold separately). While the low-medium-high setup is straightforward, the differences between levels are subtle—worth noting for those expecting dramatic shifts. Still, the presets suit the pods well, and most users should be happy with the results.
Performance
The XROS 5 comes with upgraded pods featuring COREX 3.0 tech—still backward compatible with all XROS devices. COREX 2.0 pods were already excellent, so improvements like “more stable performance” and “30% better flavor delicacy” sounded like typical marketing talk. But do they actually perform better? Let’s see.
0.6-ohm pod: In short, it’s outstanding. Flavor is rich, the draw is smooth, and wicking handles 50/50 e-liquid with no issues. I compared it with a COREX 2.0 pod using the same juice and noticed a difference—subtle, not groundbreaking, but definitely an upgrade in flavor depth.
0.8-ohm pod: Also excellent. Just as flavorful and reliable as the 0.6-ohm pod, making it hard to pick a favorite.
While long-term durability is hard to gauge in just two weeks, both pods have handled 24–28 mL with no drop in performance—very promising so far.
Battery life and charging
Beyond the new COREX 3.0 pods, the XROS 5’s biggest upgrade is its battery. It packs a 1500 mAh cell with 3A charging—seriously impressive.
While I can’t confirm the exact usable capacity or charge rate, the improvements are clear. It fully charges in just 26 minutes—the fastest I’ve seen. On a full charge, you can vape through about 7.5 mL of e-liquid, which is excellent for a compact device like this.
