Starting June 1, 2025, the UK will implement a ban on the sale and supply of single-use (disposable) vapes, including non-nicotine versions. From this date, any vapes legally on sale in Britain must be rechargeable, refillable, and have a coil that can be easily replaced.
Why the Ban?

Approximately five million disposable vapes are discarded weekly in the UK, contributing to significant electronic waste. These devices often end up in landfills or incinerators, releasing harmful chemicals and wasting valuable materials like lithium.
• Youth Vaping Concerns
The rise of colorful, flavored, and affordable disposable vapes has coincided with an increase in youth vaping. The ban seeks to curb this trend by removing such products from the market.
What’s Still Allowed?
The ban targets single-use vapes, but reusable products—those that are rechargeable, refillable, and have replaceable coils—will remain legal. This distinction encourages a shift towards more sustainable vaping options.
