The vape industry needs to wake up to current problems

The current problem it teenagers under 18 vaping and vape waste. The vape industry should stop associating with Vape Trick Artists which are appealing to Teenagers and encourage Teenagers to be drawn in to vaping. There should be no sponsorship for these people or affiliation with these people. Disposables shouldn’t be manufactured anymore. When they are no longer working they are thrown away in an irresponsible maner in parks where children play and on pathways children walk on. They litter the countryside and beaches. The Vape industry needs to wake up to the fact they are shooting themselves in the foot.

Well said, Responsibility isn’t optional anymore, especially when it comes to youth and the environment

It’s a world gone mad
The spotlight is on the vape industry due to countries banning or deciding to tax them and it growing in popularity.

And quick to point out issues and highlight them and point the finger but if you were to dive deeper it is society to blame.

Underage use of vapes gets highlighted but underage smokers is not highlighted as much, but we as humans know that there is as much underage smokers as there is those who vape.

The amount of discarded vapes in our streets ok it’s an issue due to containing batteries but still not as many cigarettes butts discarded or litter or junkie needles we don’t blame tobacco companies for the discarded butts we don’t blame drug companies but we blame the vape industry for the discarded vapes.

Anyone can open a vape shop or any retailer can sell vape products even hairdressers or barbers they don’t need to be licensed like the retailers who sells tobacco related items this leads to unscrupulous retailers who don’t do age checks just wanting to make a fast buck and turnover of stock they buy in bulk of these cheap imported vapes and want to sell quickly,
Then there is also the fake :id_button: issues
If asked to produce age verification
We can’t blame the vape industry for this but most do we blame the proper vape shops and the vape manufacturers due to the much highlighted age issue surrounding vapes.

I agree on principle it is the vape industry’s responsibility in not making devices look like kids toys to attract underage use but even if they were to comply there is so many imported vapes and fakes of leading branded vapes who don’t care they just want money. And the leading brands get the blame for this.

There is so much pressure on the vape industry trying to keep up with innovation in adding new features to devices to remain a leading brand.

Did our society look for these innovations when we actually smoked cigarettes ( takes a look at a cigarette where is the wattage hmmm where is the puff counter I want Bluetooth) we should be grateful and thankful that these vape devices were created as a aid to quit smoking and create a safer lifestyle but we want more more more

So basically it is not the vape industry shooting its self in the foot it is our society the governments allowing non licenced retailers sell vape products tighter control on retailers to ensure they follow same guidelines as tobacconists more education to the younger generation same way we warn them about smoking but they will do it anyway regardless the council in each area not monitoring these retailers it’s not all down to the vape industry.

But in many countries, many young people actually like this disposable vape.

Despite them liking it it depends on law of the land in those countries what age restrictions there are for nicotine related products if underage then shouldn’t do it then up to them if within age to dispose of properly instead of causing issues for the vape industry for their own negligence.

That is not acceptable. If the law says no smoking/vaping/drinking under a certain age and you supply to them you are breaking the law. A Liquor Store will loose its trading licence.
