We spend hours organizing our physical spaces - but what about our digital worlds? Lately, I’ve been treating my phone like a home that needs decluttering, and it’s been more transformative than any minimalist interior makeover.
Here’s how I’m rebelling against digital noise:
- Intentional Following
: Unfollowing accounts that trigger comparison, filling my feed instead with art, nature and genuine connections
- App Architecture
: Organizing apps by energy - creative tools on the home screen, distractions tucked away in folders
- Notification Fasting
: Turning off all non-essential alerts - because real emergencies don’t come via social media push notifications - Digital Sunsets
: Putting my phone in grayscale mode two hours before bed - the visual equivalent of speaking in whispers
The result? My phone now feels like a tool for enrichment rather than a source of anxiety. Each time I open it, I’m met with inspiration rather than obligation.
