A long read ( yawns )
Being a tester of vape devices has its perks but also has disadvantages,
You get new devices and excited to test them out you have to use for at least a week or two to give an honest true opinion,
It also puts you into the habit of looking for the negatives in the device on what is faff or what could be improved.
So due to jumping from one device and another you can’t really settle on a so called permanent one.
And after a while they all start to feel the same.
But recently for me that has changed dramatically,
You may have read my earlier posts complimenting and raving about some of these devices the Xcross pro the lux xr max I have a fondness to the Xcross as it was the Xcross mini 3 that helped me quit the stinky.
I love the armour G 80 watt max( I own 5 of them 
) great battery great flavour great size in how it sits in hand pods give 5ml liquid capacity,
I have and owned the xcross pro at least 3 of them I normally purchase 2 at same time but thought I’d lost one so purchased a third awesome little devices great flavour super fast charging 30 watt max but given my lifestyle habits I found these unsuitable for me as I am outdoors at least 12/14 hours a day 6 days a week
The pods only give a max of 3ml liquid
And great battery but I vape at 27 watts and it being a max 30watt device battery depletes pretty quickly.
So from the Xcross I went to lux xr max another great device great battery great flavour I even purchased the lux xr max 2 out of curiosity lol better screen better menu and cool lock button on base even managed to get 5ml pods for it, but my own personal preference I don’t like duckbill pods issues changing coils ect if full of liquid.
So my preference was the armour G for its shape, size, looks and 510 drip tip, but for me the niggle was still there even though I purchased a few of them and due to loyalty to vaperesso for the great quality devices I’m just hard to please the pocket mishaps due to me being lazy not locking device or wearing industrial gloves at work and can’t lock it and the prominent fire button easy to press in a pocket.and a closed pod hard to properly clean.
I am old school and much prefer tanks instead of pods easier to disassemble to clean and prefer an actual mod but tanks don’t give same flavour, I got the armour s but found it too big heavy so didn’t venture further to the armour max and itank2 which took the gti coils & external battery I’m not a fan of external batteries although easier to switch over for a fully charged battery meant more to carry around with me and the thought of separate chargers
These are good solid mods great menu but my lifestyle doesn’t suit I’m looking for a small more modern sleek device that can fit in pocket. As I normally carry 2 when outdoors.
My fav is the gtx coils they cannot be beaten for flavours and durability for me anyway and I have had and tried several brands but gtx always remains the best today
I’ve had the gtx tank 18 then the gtx 22 but bottom airflow meant flavour didn’t match those of a pod device although good and me being hard to please the flavours felt muted the armour G still took the No1 spot.
And now the dramatic change the new gtx X tank T can be paired with gtx one pro 40watt device with a 3000mah internal battery it is a top airflow all I can say is wow the flavour from this tank was on par if not better than any pod great mtl and rdl draw great cloud not to overly dense,
Although build could be vastly improved,
When I purchased 2 of these along with 5ml spare glass as we have TPD laws here so expected it to be a 2 ml tank unboxing I see it came with a fitted 3ml and a spare 5ml glass so now have 4 x 5ml glass🤣 spare seals a lady tip ( slim curved one ) and a male tip ( slim short straight one ) for different draw styles although bore looks same it is a very light tank small in size I struggled to remove glass due to two silicon rubber strips inside this I think was to reduce the 3ml to 2 ml for the TPD law and the strips were covering the branding logo on chimney once removed I replaced with the 5ml glass popped in my fav 0.4ohm coil and filled with black currant and lemonade e-juice and left to soak
First draw and norm takes a few to make coil happy the flavour was wow spot on vaperesso nailed it with this tank so a day or two later decided to try a grape flavour as I unscrewed base to remove coil and empty tank I had noticed glass comes off there is no separate base ring holding glass makes cleaning easier I guess but each time I change coil glass comes off so not sure the longevity of seals maybe that’s what the two rubber strips are for to hold on glass and not for the TPD laws but bottom glass seal will still suffer each time I change coil and why the tank is so small as no base ring holding on glass hmmm and top with drip tip covering fill port comes off when in pocket sighs ( wiggles finger at BoB)
Apart from the niggles a great tank great flavour will keep these for no1 spot for now.
Matched with a new cool 80 watt mod sadly not a vaperesso brand makes me feel guilty but matches the gtx tank
Same shape slightly shorter than the armour G with slightly more features but a lesser battery at 2600 mah but I carry two devices anyway lol
And has autodraw so no pocket misfires.
So hopefully this will curb the spending on new devices for a while we will see lol
I will just continue testing new devices for reviews as I receive them and continue with the mod and X tank T because the flavour and usage wins over the flaws.
as soon as you buy the latest release it loses its value even though it looks cool and you drive in style a new model gets released you want it
