I’ve been dealing with a bit of a dilemma lately. I love vaping and my dogs, but I want to make sure I’m keeping the air in my home safe for my furry friends. I’ve noticed that they tend to avoid the areas where I usually vape, which makes me wonder if they’re picking up on something I might not be aware of. It’s important to me that they stay comfortable and healthy, so I’m curious about how you all manage this balance.
Here’s what I’ve been trying: I always try to vape near open windows or use fans to keep the air circulating. Does anyone have specific setups that work well for them? I’ve also created a designated area for vaping that’s away from where my dogs hang out—kind of like a “vape zone.” If you’ve done something similar, I’d love to hear how it’s working out for you.
Investing in a good air purifier has also made a big difference. And whenever possible, I take my vaping outside to enjoy some fresh air and make things more pet-friendly indoors.
Have you noticed similar behavior with your pets? How do you handle it?
I also have pets and try to be mindful about vaping around them. I usually vape near an open window or outside to keep the air fresh for my cats. Investing in an air purifier is a great idea. It’s great that you’re creating a safe space for your dogs.
I feel you, bro. I realized my dog doesn’t like me vaping, so whenever I vape indoors, I make sure to do it near a window to keep the air fully circulated.
While I do have two cats, I also keep several different species of reptiles which are even more sensitive to not only the smell but because I vape using sub-ohm coils at a not generally recommended salt Nic level I know that just my vapor hanging in the air in a room could be a potentially deadly situation.
I vape (when at home) in my bedroom at my desk or outside. No exceptions. My animals are kept in a spare room in my house (cats excluded) but to satisfy my paranoia I actually use my soldering fume filter (think of a small aquarium filter using removable and replaceable filters containing activated carbon with a fan on the back side forcing the air to flow through the filter) which is also already on my desk and just blow my hits in it’s direction and it filters the vapor out of the air. This way I don’t have to worry about my cats which do hangout in my room or be paranoid that my vapor is going to travel through the vents or some other nonsense and harm my reptiles.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
