While I don’t yet use clean energy like solar or wind power, I have my own simple hacks to live a greener life—doing my part in small ways to help our planet and future.
1. Say No to One-time Products
For the past two years, I’ve been trying my best to avoid one-time products like plastic bags. As I know how much damage single-use bags cause to the environment. Even when I order delivery, I make sure not to use the plastic utensils. That’s why I always carry a canvas bag with me everywhere, just in case I suddenly feel like shopping.
I REALLY recommend canvas bags to everyone! They are not only practical and eco-friendly but also fashionable. With bright colors and bold designs, they can easily light up your outfit. They’re stylish while still being functional, able to carry lots of things and help reduce the need for one-time products. Win-win!
(They are really stunning!!)
2. Reusing Water
This is one of my personal habits: I always try to reuse water whenever possible. For example, after using water to do my personal clean-up, I’ll save it to water plants or clean around the house. It’s a small but effective way to save water and be more eco-friendly.
3. Choosing Greener Transportation
This might sound a bit cliché, but it really works! I try to avoid using fuel-powered cars. If the distance is short, I prefer riding a shared bike. Plus, in the city where I live, public transportation is often a better choice—it’s convenient, and I don’t have to worry about finding parking, which is totally nightmare!
These are my simple green life tricks! What do you think? Feel free to share your own eco-friendly tips in the comments—I’d love to hear them!
