How Do You Feel About Nicotine-adjustable devices?

Recently, I reviewed the OXBAR Astro Maze 50K. It has 5 different nicotine adjustable options.
Although it is the same 50mg e-liquid in these, I’m assuming the different nicotine modes are just different wattage options.

Would you find yourself trying different nicotine options throughout the day, or do you mainly stick with one preferred option?

Personally, I like to stick with the same nicotine mode, but I can see if someone is working on lowering their nicotine intake, they may start to taper down the mode over time. Using the device at a lower nicotine mode may also extend the life of the device.

Although the flavor is great at higher nicotine modes probably due to the higher wattage, the flavor and satisfaction of the hit starts to drop the lower on the settings you go. I see that as a potential con. I am curious to hear what you guys think though!

I had the Ice and nicotine adjustable one before and it vapes super weak.

Only used it at highest level!

I haven’t tried it but wouldn’t be confident in a device controlling my nicotine as you say it contains the same liquid and can only imagine higher heat ( wattage ) burns through more liquid therefore inhaling more ,
I prefer to control my own in my own DIY mixes that way I know how much is in per mix and slowly reduce that way but reading this topic highlights the possibility of increasing or decreasing the wattage increases or lowers your nicotine in any liquid so would potentially mean we don’t really know how much nicotine is in our liquids

Maybe it goes up by 10mg each time and the highest is 50mg? I like to vape 20mg so I might like level 2 or 3 on there!

I think the juice is 0 nic and has separate container inside that injects quantities of nic per inhale on strength you select ,

As the salt nics you buy 10 or 20mg strength how would they know what wattage each individual vapes at if wattage alters the nic strength it would mean it is not 10 or 20mg in each bottle.

Yeah, I personally wouldn’t use it at the lowest level lol

Haha yeah I think you are right in that at the higher wattage it’s just creating a lot more vapor to inhale as opposed to the lowest setting where it doesn’t seem like you get much at all

From my experience, yeah the level 2 or 3 would probably be optimal for you

I hope you’re right as that would make way more sense and would be preferred! You would think if they were actually making the effort to do that though, they would market it as such and describe that on their website. They do have 3 coils inside, so they may just be heating more coils up the more you increase the setting

Same…I never try but I think it just a promotion way.

Ok I looked into this further and as I suspected it contains 2x20ml containers one is the e-liquid the second is the nic so it can release more nic in each inhale each time you up the settings it has one coil called UNIONE triple mesh coil trick of wording in the device description on websites
Saying UNIONE triple mesh coils but only one in each device is used it has a 900mah battery supposed to last two three days but most Vapers would burn through that in less than a day :joy: but is rechargeable .

Adjustable devices seem like a big trend in the near future. I am also curious about how it changed to different nic levels. It’s more like a marketing function than real tech.

yes same with me! haha

It is a pity that such innovations are put into disposable vapes only for them to be discarded days after use it is such a waste . It is not recommended to keep old disposable vapes in long term due dangers of leaking degrading batteries which could potentially cause fires .
Disposable vapes are made with the cheapest components to keep costs down and to sell onto consumers at lower costs to keep them worthwhile to consumers purchasing them over and over .
