Shortfills bigger bottles of E-liquid
Premixed sold at 0mg
So you can add your own nic
I have prepared this following guide to help you.
50ml - 100 ml
when adding nic to your fresh purchase it is good to know how much to add to get your desired strength.
50ml of shortfill liquid
- 1x 18mg nicotine shot = 3mg
- 2x 18mg nicotine shot = 7mg
- 3x 18mg nicotine shot = 10mg
- 4x 18mg nicotine shot = 14mg
This changes significantly when you purchase bigger bottles
100ml of Shortfill E-Liquid:
- 1x 18mg nicotine shot = 1mg
- 2x 18mg nicotine shots = 3mg
- 3x 18mg nicotine shots = 5mg
- 4x 18mg nicotine shots = 7mg
When you purchase your juice at 50-50 try ask for nicotine shots at 50-50 to keep ratios the same
As nicotine shots are mixed in pg only or vg only or 50-50 or 70-30
So it is best to get same nicotine shots that match your e-liquid.

Yo Eddie! Huge thanks for sharing this super helpful breakdown—**this is exactly the kind of gold we love seeing in the community! Your tips on matching nicotine shot ratios (PG/VG) with e-liquid bases are awesome. So many folks (especially newbies) overlook how much that affects flavor balance and throat hit, but you nailed it!
The 50ml vs. 100ml nic shot math is gonna save a ton of people from guesswork—bookmarking this for sure. And you’re 100% right: sticking to the same base ratio (like 50-50 shots for 50-50 juice) keeps everything smooth and consistent.

Yw yes I ran calculator twice to make sure there is some differences like .2 ect but it’s as close as can get given nic shots come in 10ml bottles glad it’s helpful as I found in the past it being confusing the shortfill bottles generally only allows you to add 20ml nic shot best advice is keep or get bigger bottles and decant your liquid into bigger bottles if you require stronger nic hit .

It’s really helpful to have all the information organized like this. It’s especially helpful for people who are new to vaping or who are looking to try out different nicotine strengths. I’m sure a lot of vapers will find this guide really useful. Do you have any other tips for people who are just starting out with vaping?I’m curious to know more about the different types of shortfills and premixed e-liquids available. What are some of the most popular flavors and brands?
Hi Randy I’m going to do a new post for those starting out
Shortfills/longfills are bigger bottles 50ml-100ml-250ml people buy these as cheaper in long run to a traditional pre mixed 10ml it is also used to lower nicotine as the bigger bottles generally come with 0% nicotine you add your own called nicotine shots the 10ml of pre mixed bottles usually come with nicotine 5mg 10mg & 20mg there are hundreds of brands to choose. To many to list to say which is best flavour or brand.

Shortfills and longfills are larger bottles of e-liquid, typically ranging from 50ml to 250ml. They are often considered a more cost-effective option compared to traditional 10ml pre-mixed bottles.
Here’s why
Cost-Effective: Shortfills and longfills provide more e-liquid for a lower price per ml.
Nicotine Control: They usually come with 0% nicotine, allowing you to add your own nicotine shots to adjust the strength to your preference. This gives you more control over your nicotine intake.
Wide Variety: There are countless brands and flavors available in shortfill and longfill formats.
You can find nicotine shots in various strengths, typically 10ml or 20ml bottles.
Sorry Randy I see why it was confusing I wrote 10ml and 20 ml making it seem I was talking about nic shots instead of premixed liquid at strengths of 10mg and 20mg as I was answering to you on my break and made a typo lol my apologies
I’ve edited it to what I meant to say sorry for the confusion.

Oh, that’s interesting! I’m not familiar with the specifics of nicotine shot bottle sizes in the UK, as regulations and availability can change. It’s possible that 20ml bottles are a newer offering, a brand-specific size, or perhaps even something you’ve encountered in an online store that doesn’t reflect typical UK retail practices.
