Flavor Disappearance During Vaping and A Potential Fix

I encountered something odd during my vaping experience today. The flavor seemed to vanish mid-session – as if the e-liquid suddenly became tasteless. At first, I thought my tank was empty, but it turned out there was still plenty of juice left.
What’s even weirder was that my tongue began to feel slightly swollen and uncomfortable shortly after. After some quick research, I stumbled upon the term “vapor’s tongue,” a new concept to me, which seems to affect the sense of taste.
But as I dug deeper, I found that a second common issue could be at play. My device wasn’t turning on or firing up, which might have been due to leakage affecting the connection points. Sure enough, upon inspection, there was some e-liquid where it shouldn’t be.
The suggested fix was pretty straightforward – cleaning the cartridge contact pins thoroughly. It appears this might have been interfering with not just the power but also possibly affecting the vapor production, leading to that absent flavor sensation.
Has anyone else faced this peculiar situation? It felt like inhaling air that should have been flavored but wasn’t. Any advice or insights on how to resolve this and get back to enjoying the flavors would be greatly appreciated.
