Anyone else lose their taste when vaping too much? What do you guys do to fix it before a meal?

I’ve been running into a bit of an issue with vaping: whenever I vape too much, I completely lose my sense of taste. It’s like my tongue is wrapped in a sweater, and everything just tastes bland. This is especially annoying when I’m sitting down for one of my favorite meals or trying out a new recipe I’ve been excited about—it really takes the enjoyment out of eating.

I remember one time, I had friends over for dinner, and I was looking forward to tasting this amazing pasta dish I had worked on all day. But then, after a bit of vaping earlier, I could barely taste anything! It was so frustrating watching everyone else enjoy it while I felt like I was missing out.

A few observations I’ve made:

● If the e-juice is too sweet, or the sweetness is not natural, it will affect the taste

● Frequent vaping seems to dull taste buds more significantly

● The impact can last for hours, ruining dining experiences

Even simple meals become less satisfying because the flavors just don’t come through. It’s like going to your favorite restaurant and feeling totally let down because you can’t appreciate what makes the food special.

Has anyone else experienced this? How do you manage to get your taste buds back to normal quickly? Whether it’s a special occasion or just wanting to enjoy a regular meal, I’d love to hear any tips or tricks you might have.

I’ve experienced the same thing! I usually try rinsing my mouth with salt water or eating something sour like a lemon to help reset my taste buds

I’ve totally experienced the same thing! Here are a few tricks I use to fix the problem: drink more sour drinks or just go for an Americano. I usually rely on coffee to ease these symptoms.

I totally get what you’re going through. Vaper’s tongue can be so frustrating, especially when it affects enjoying food. Drinking lots of water and switching to a more neutral e-juice flavor for a while usually helps me. Some people also recommend sniffing coffee grounds to reset your taste buds—might be worth a try!
