Hey UVC fam,
We all know to check the calorie count on snacks, drinks, even chewing gum. But here’s a question you might not have asked yet…
Do vapes have calories?
Short answer? Yes—but don’t panic!
Here’s the deal:
Most vape juices are made with vegetable glycerin (VG) and propylene glycol (PG). These ingredients technically do have calories—around 4 calories per gram, just like carbs.
BUT when you vape them, you’re not digesting them like food. Most of it turns into vapor and gets exhaled. So the actual caloric intake is extremely small—practically negligible.
So… will vaping make you gain weight?
Highly unlikely. Unless you’re vaping litres of juice a day (please don’t) , it won’t move the scale.
Does it break a fast?
If you’re doing strict intermittent fasting for metabolic or insulin reasons, it might. But for most casual fasts, it’s not a big deal.
So vape on—but maybe don’t replace your salad with strawberry cheesecake e-liquid (even if it smells amazing).
