What is the Optimal Battery Size For Your Vape Device?

Hey guys! Recently I have noticed new vape devices have increased battery size pretty substantially. Disposables used to have a 650 mAh rechargeable battery, but I have noticed new ones such as the VIHO TRX 50K are much larger. This one specifically includes a 1500 mAh battery. With disposables that have the 650 mAh battery, I found myself charging the device about every day or day and a half. I have been vaping this new one for a few days now and havn’t had to recharge it once.

Even for pod systems, I used to see them have 800 mAh batteries, but am seeing newer ones with 1500 mAh or even much larger than that.

Do you think a demand for longer lasting devices has caused this shift and what battery size has worked best for you? I have been enjoying the larger capacity pod systems, and although the larger battery size on disposables has been nice, I can’t help but to think it’s a bit of a waste.

Great video Matt! One of my first vapes was the Smok novo 3. I think the battery in pod batteries now has doubled! It’s very nice to see!

I want to go all day without recharging. That’s my Minimum Acceptable Limit. Just like the phone. I only want to charge at night.

A larger battery is indeed more convenient to use, at least it will reduce a lot of battery life anxiety. But I think a battery of about 1000mAh should be enough for disposables.

The larger the battery, the more resources will be wasted. I feel that disposables do not need to pursue large batteries. The UK’s ban on disposable vapes will take effect on June 1. I wonder what impact this will have on the entire industry.

They sure have improved a lot since then!

Totally agree! It’s frustrating to have to charge something mid-day especially if you are out and about and don’t have a charger present!

Yeah anything about 1000 mAh for a disposable is getting pretty crazy lol. That’s a lot to throw out.

Very interested to see what happens with that! The disposable market has grown so much over the last few years. Although I do like disposables for travel and what not, I wouldn’t mind a return to a bigger emphasis on refillable devices

Agree, I like disposables for travel too; it is much easier to get and use.
