Hey vape fam! So I’ve been using open-system vapes for about a year now, but I’m still low-key confused about picking the right juices. With summer rolling in, I’m curious—how do y’all switch up your setups/flavors for the season? Do you go for icy menthols, fruity blends, or something else?
Personally, I’m all about fruity flavors (mango forever!), but I’ve heard some folks swear by cooling mint or lemonade-inspired juices when it’s hot AF. What’s your go-to summer vibe? Also, drop your all-time favorite brands/juices that you’ve repurchased a zillion times. I’m tryna cheat and just copy your homework here.
Bonus Q: Any tips for avoiding that “heavy” feeling from dessert flavors in the heat? Or is that just me?
I reasonably prefer the fruity flavours all year round, and I don’t mind a bit of ice, specially during the summer months. My current go to brands are Pixie Juice, Ohm Boy (Botanics range), Wild roots and 12 Monkeys. (She says while vaping Apple XL from Riot Squad). Riot has always been good to me, but some people have said that the shortfills can shorten the coil life in certain devices.
Personally, I tend to get hooked on a single or couple of different flavours from a brand rather than going for all the flavours from a brand.
Pixie Juice Fuji Apple and strawberry is just dangerous - I went through 2 x 100ml bottles in 14 days I have since banned myself from using this one.
Ohm Boy Rhubarb, Raspberry and Orange Blossom kind of gives me gin and lemonade vibes, so again, something I can quite happily vape for months.
12 Monkeys Tropika Ice is just fantastic! Unfortunately my GTX 0.4 coils couldn’t handle the 70/30 ratio too well and they haven’t released the salts yet
Wild roots my go to flavours are the Mint tea and Rhubarb (Super fresh and gentle for the summer) and the Pear, Apple and Elderflower ( another summery flavour I can’t get enough of), I definitely love this range cause the flavours are a bit more subtle so I can use this all day long.
Now my current obsession - Riot Bar EDTN Apple XL - fruity with a hint of Ice. Been on this one for over a month now and don’t even want to touch anything else Also They’ve released the long fills now which means as soon as our stock arrives, I won’t feel quite as bad about the liquid quantities I’m currently going through
Thank you sir! Wild roots sounds really great, Im also a mint tea person. Just gonna have a try! And of course, I also like fruit ice juice, especially peach ice. I think it may be because peach ice doesn’t taste that sweet, but instead has a little bit of tea fragrance.
I would like to recommend a tea flavour e-liquid that I bought in Japan called SANDI FANCHA - Japanese TEA. This flavour is very summery, not sweet at all and tastes like Japanese tea.
Honestly @Eddiemcg, I’m pretty sure this is the first apple flavour I’ve tried that I’ve been as obsessed with as I was with Strapped’s Sour apple I went through absolute litres of the stuff (and was such on it for 2 years) and I can definitely see the same happening to the Riot one
The XROS series devices can be compitable with the majority of different liquid. Because this type of device can cover 0.4-1.2 resistance . If you’d like to use in summer, I recommned you can try VAPORESSO APEX.
the Apple XL long fill? Longfill works so that you get 30ml of concentrate that is then topped up with filler shots (just straight up VG/PG shots) and Nic shots to make it up to 60ml worth of liquid. We’re convinced they’re doing this to try to get ahead of the tax rises in the UK next year as technically the 30ml worth of concentrate on its own is unvapeable and therefore can’t be taxed. I use mine in a 6mg freebase which is worked out by adding 3 x 50/50 18mg nic shots into the 30ml of concentrate. As far as I’m aware as it’s a long fill, depending on what Nic shots you have, you can have it up to 10/20mg (depending on what Nic shots the company offers - ours for example will be offering 3 different strengths to make it easier to calculate for most people with the highest being 10mg freebase/20 salt due to our Nic shot concentrates
Yes but pointless as I get 4x10ml salt nic of the riot apple xl bar edtn for £10 ready mixed with salt nic = 40ml 0mg, 5mg, 10mg and 20mg! or 30ml xl for £9.99 3x20ml nic salt to give 10mg strength at 1.99 each the ready mixed nic salt is already steeped with the nic the shortfill you have to add the nic later which means it’s steeped at different times if that makes sense. so pointless buying the xl . Unlesssold in bigger bottles.
I have since banned myself from using this one.
