Hey guys, so I’ve been vaping for about a year now, and I’ve got a confession to make: I’m totally brand-loyal when it comes to e-liquid. Like, painfully loyal. (Actually not only the e-liquid, this happens to almost everything I buy.)
I found one brand I like early on, and now I just… stick with it. Even when I wanna try new flavors, I only browse that brand’s lineup. It’s safe, it’s familiar, and I know what to expect. But honestly? It’s getting kinda boring. The selection’s limited, and I’m low-key jealous of people who casually switch between brands like it’s no big deal.
Here’s the thing though—trying new brands feels risky. What if the quality’s bad? What if the flavor’s weird or the nicotine hits different? I don’t wanna waste money on a bottle I’ll hate after two puffs. And yeah, I know “just read reviews,” but sometimes even those are all over the place.
So, I’m curious:
Am I the only one who does this? Or are there other brand-loyal vapers out there?
When you do try a new brand, what do you look for besides flavor? (Like, lab testing? Ingredients? Company rep?)
Help a paranoid vaper out—how do you branch out without regretting it?

Keep an open mind to face this colorful world. People always have to try new things. Don’t be afraid of trial and error. The process of trial and error is also a process of growth. A more practical suggestion is to choose a well-known brand of e-liquid. If you don’t have enough judgment, don’t believe in the niche brands recommended to you by some store owners.

I try a lot of different flavors, which also means I have a huge stack of liquids I dont really like. But by trying you kind of figure out what works out as a good liquid for you.
Its always a personal choice, if you are fine with a couple of different flavors its completely normal. People are a creature of habit anyway.
I always check my email for discounts and when the bottles are cheap I just pick up one or two random flavors and see if I like them. When a bottle is only 1 or 2 euros I dont really care if I dont like them as smoking was 12 euro a pack in my country. And I smoked a pack or two every day before I quit smoking.
For buying, and why you should experiment Id give you an example. I love dessert/sweet flavors but I dont like any that have vanilla in them.
My first dessert flavor had vanilla in it.
Straight up hated it. The vanilla was overpowering and muted the other flavors in the bottle, couldnt even reuse the pod as everything tasted like vanilla. If I gave up right there and then I wouldnt have known that a lot of dessert flavors are actually really decent! Second one I tried was a “mochi” flavored liquid and I fell in love with how it tasted.
Same for fruity flavors. I dont like any with coconut, or ones that heavily feature strawberry but all others are really nice. I only got to that conclusion by trying a bunch of random liquids.
So once you have a bunch you dislike only then you figure out what you like and basically have access to a whole world of good liquids. Regretting a flavor is basically part of the experience. See it as a treasure hunt lol.
I know that when vaping started you could try sampling in vapeshops but those days are pretty much over after covid.

Yes, it is annoying not to be able to try. In my area, some stores won’t even let you try disposables because they call it “free nicotine delivery”, which is illegal
