Indonesian boxer Uswatun Hasanah advanced to the semifinals of the 2018 Asian Games after defeating India’s Pavitra in the women’s lightweight (57-60kg) quarterfinals 3-2 at Hall C Kemayoran on Tuesday (August 28, 2018).
Uswatun successfully matched Pavitra, the 2018 India Open champion. “I had a bit of difficulty dealing with Pavitra’s agile movements. I kept forcing her to fight at close range as instructed by my coach. This strategy worked, and I was able to secure the victory,” said Uswatun.
