Focus on Emotions not performance

If there’s one thing I’ve come to understand over the years, it’s that it’s not necessarily the technical performance of a video that makes it a good one.

When I first started out, I always tried to do the most technical things possible, probably waiting for other people to validate me by saying “wow, he’s really good”.

There were a few people in the industry who saw my videos and understood the difficulty of the tricks I was doing, but they were only a minority.

And one day, I decided to make videos for myself, not for others. I wanted to get the maximum pleasure from the creation process, but also from the final result.

It was at this point that I stopped looking for technicality and started looking only for vibe. Basically, I wanted my videos to be pleasant to watch for me.

It was by doing this that I began to make videos that were simpler, but above all more visual, with which the viewer would really feel something.

And, as if by magic, that’s when the videos started to work.

The lesson I drew from it: it’s not the technical performance that counts, it’s the emotions I convey.

And it was this video that inspired me to tell you about it, because I don’t know about you, but I love the vibe of this video!
