Do You Think E-Liquids Have “Top, Middle & Base Notes” Like Perfume?

Hey guys! :raising_hands: I’ve been wondering about this lately — can vape flavors be layered the same way perfumers design fragrances?

Think about it:

  • Top notes → the first hit when you inhale; usually bright, sharp, fruity, minty, or citrusy.
  • Middle notes → the body of the flavor once the vapor settles, like cream, dessert tones, florals, or mellow fruits.
  • Base notes → what lingers on the exhale; deeper elements like custard, tobacco, vanilla, or spices.

Honestly, when I look back at some of my favorite liquids, they do kind of follow this pattern.
A mango ice that opens with bright fruit, settles into creamy sweetness, then finishes cold and smooth. Or a dessert blend that starts sweet, blooms into warm bakery notes, and ends with a cozy vanilla finish.

So now I’m curious — do you think e-juice creators intentionally build flavors like perfumers?
Or is this just something we experience naturally when the vapor layers out?

Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you’ve ever vaped a flavor that evolves from inhale to exhale.
