Differences Between MTL vs DTL?

Interest
Can someone explain the difference between MTL and DTL vaping? I keep hearing about them, but I’m not clear on what makes them different. From what I understand, MTL is more like smoking a traditional cigarette – you pull the vapor into your mouth, then inhale. DTL seems to be more of a straight-to-lung inhale, with bigger clouds and different tanks, coils, and juices. But what about things like wattage, airflow, and resistance? Can someone break it down for me simply?

MTL (Mouth To Lung)

● Tank Size: Smaller tanks, usually 24mm or less

● Resistance: Higher resistance, between 0.5 ohm and 1.5 ohm

● Wattage: Generally below 20W

● Coils: Micro coils, often 28-gauge cores or thinner, with a fine outer wrap (e.g., 36 gauge)

● Mouthpiece: Small 510 bore, around a 5.1mm hole

● Juices: Thinner juices, usually 50/50 VG/PG with nicotine salts, which provide a smooth experience even at high nicotine levels

DTL (Direct To Lung)

● Tank Size: Larger tanks, typically 25mm or more

● Resistance: Lower resistance, often around 0.1 ohms or less

● Wattage: 20W to 75W, but can go much higher

● Coils: Larger, varied coils, like 26-gauge cores with a 36-gauge wrap

● Mouthpiece: Larger 810 bore, around an 8.1mm hole for increased airflow

● Juices: Thicker juices, often 70/30 VG/PG, typically freebase nicotine at 3mg or 6mg
