As a proud member of the UV community and a die-hard Dubs fan, I couldn’t be more thrilled with our Game 1 victory over the Rockets! Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler delivered performances that reminded us why they’re among the elite.
Stephen Curry: At 37, Steph continues to defy expectations. He dropped 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting, including five threes, and added six rebounds. His clutch shooting, especially that deep three late in the game, was pivotal in halting Houston’s momentum.sonnytamara.pages.dev
Jimmy Butler: In his playoff debut with the Warriors, Jimmy showcased his all-around game with 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and five steals. His defensive intensity and timely scoring, particularly in the closing minutes, were instrumental in securing the win.
The Warriors’ defense was stellar, holding the Rockets to 39.1% shooting and forcing 17 turnovers, which translated into 25 points for us. Brandin Podziemski also contributed significantly off the bench with 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
This win not only gives us a 1-0 lead but also showcases the depth and resilience of our team. With Curry leading the charge and Butler bringing his playoff prowess, the Warriors are poised for a deep run.
However, this is just the beginning. It’s only Game 1, and the series is far from over. Let’s keep this momentum going and continue to support our team as they strive for greatness.
