I’ve been there too many times, lounging back, ready to enjoy my vape when suddenly, it sounds like it’s snorkeling. That gurgle is basically e-liquid where it shouldn’t be – right in the air path.
Well, I’ve come up with some nifty ways to silence the gurgle:
● Flick the Excess Away: Picture getting the last bit of mustard out – a few quick flicks downward and those pesky droplets of juice fly out from the coil area.
● Soft Puffs: Instead of hitting it like it owes me money, I take calm, gentle drags. Think sipping a latte rather than chugging a soda. This helps keep the liquid down and the air flowing.
And because I’d rather not play troubleshooter every day, here are my go-to moves to dodge the gurgle altogether:
● Figuring Out the Juice Mix: It took a bit of playing around to get the mix right for my vape juice. If you’re using a big cloud-chucking device, try a thicker liquid like a 70% VG to 30% PG ratio – it gives you those big clouds without gunking up your gear. For the smaller vapes or pods, a 50/50 split keeps things running smooth. Think of it like making your favorite drink – you’ve got to mix it to your taste.
● Changing Coils Regularly: Old coils are trouble. They make everything taste burnt and can cause that annoying bubbling noise. I set a reminder to change mine out about every couple of weeks; though, if I’ve been vaping like a chimney, it might be even sooner. And don’t forget to ‘prep’ your coil by adding a few drops of juice before you start using it. It’s like warming up your car on a cold day – it just runs better.
● Watch That Fill Line: Overfilling is a no-no. It took one messy pocket for me to learn that lesson! Now, I fill my tank just below the max line – it stops any spillage and means I don’t get that hot spit of juice in my mouth when I take a draw. It’s like not filling your coffee mug to the brim, so you don’t spill it on your way to the couch.
