So, something totally unexpected happened the other day—I let some of my American friends try my new vape, and their first reaction was… “Whoa, that’s way too sweet!”
I was honestly shocked. I mean in the U.S., from donuts and milkshakes to maple bacon, I always thought the sweeter, the better! But now, suddenly, my friends are saying it’s too much?
Of course, I had to ask them what’s up. Turns out, a lot of people are becoming more conscious about their health and how much sugar they consume—not just in food, but even in flavors. They told me that while sweet flavors are still delicious, they sometimes feel a bit “guilty” enjoying them too much. Many are now preferring more natural, balanced flavors over that full-on candy-like sweetness.
Honestly, this made me rethink things. I used to believe that sweet flavors were universally loved, but maybe tastes really are changing?
I wonder if this is just a few people’s opinions or if everyone’s really shifting towards new flavor preferences? Let’s talk!
This is actually super interesting. I think there’s a growing trend towards more natural and balanced flavors, not just in vaping but also in food and drinks. People are more mindful about overly sweet, artificial-tasting flavors, and maybe that’s why things like herbal, citrus, or even tobacco blends are getting more popular. I still enjoy sweet flavors, but only if they’re well-balanced and not overpowering.
Wait… Americans saying something is too sweet? That’s wild. But honestly, I do get it—some dessert vapes can be sugar overload. I still love a good strawberry milkshake flavor, but I’ve been reaching for more nutty or floral options lately. Maybe my taste buds are evolving😂
Yo, I totally get this! I used to be all about the dessert vapes—candy, custards, you name it. But lately, I’ve been gravitating toward fruity & fresh flavors like peach tea or lychee ice. Not sure if my tastes changed or if I just got tired of that heavy sweetness. Anyone else feeling the same?
I understand! I love anything sweet, u know, like deadly sweet, but my doctor said that i should eat less sweet like chocolate, evenlike my favorite bread, as it will cause harm to my health, soooo i have to take less sugar than usual for my health. Maybe Less Sugar will become the universally - common sense i guess
Totally agree! More people are choosing Diet Coke and Zero Coke at McDonald’s. BTW, from what I’ve seen, the mint flavours are really popular in America right now, especially Miami Mint.
Right?! That was exactly my reaction! I never expected to hear ‘too sweet’ from an American lol. But yeah, some dessert vapes can be over the top. Nutty and floral flavors sound like an interesting switch—any favorites you’d recommend?
Yo, I’ve never been a fan of too much sweetness. Peach tea and lychee ice sound —might have to give those a try! Guess our taste buds are evolving together
I feel you! Health has to come first. Cutting back on sugar is tough, especially when it’s in all the best foods . Maybe you’re right—‘Less Sugar’ might just be the new normal!
I only vape Vapetasia Killer Sweets Rainbop these days! Love that Sweet Tart Candy taste profile exclusively that Vapetasia makes! Other than that I buy a cookie flavored eliquid and a cinnamon eliquid and mix those sweet flavors carefully together and make my own very sweet and BOT TOO HOT cinnamon cookies eliquid! And it tastes awesome!
This is such a timely topic! Your post highlights something I’ve been noticing in the vaping industry lately—there’s definitely a shift toward less sweet, more nuanced flavors. I think it’s partly driven by consumer demand, but also by regulations in some countries that are pushing for “healthier” vaping options. For example, in Europe, there’s been a rise in popularity of flavors like herbal, floral, or even tea-inspired vapes, which are far less sweet than the traditional dessert or candy flavors. It seems like manufacturers are catching on and starting to experiment with more sophisticated profiles. I wonder if this trend will eventually make its way back to the U.S. market, where sweet flavors have dominated for so long. It’ll be interesting to see how companies adapt to these changing preferences.
Right~ The market regulations should also be a factor. I know that there is a “Flavor Bans” in CA, USA right now, and many brands are now trying to launch clear flavor products.
