Hey, why not share your passion for zero waste with the world? It’s not about saying no to things, but about switching from X to Y to make a positive difference.
I knew a girl who went vegan, and she was so inspiring! She said her trip to Guatemala was a real eye-opener, and it made her want to live more sustainably. She was always talking about all the exciting vegan farm-to-table style recipes she was trying, and how she was growing her own food. It got me thinking about how I could reduce my own waste, too. I tried some of the dishes she made to accommodate her dietary restrictions and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. I had always grown up with meat every day, so it was a real eye-opener to discover that you can have satisfying meals without meat. It’s just one example of how one person’s sustainability can have a ripple effect.

I really believe that it’s better to lead by example than to preach at people, don’t you? One of my friends saw me saving food scraps and asked what I was doing. A few weeks after that, she decided to start composting too. Then she got one of her friends into composting too. Now she wants to set up a food waste system at her office. It’s amazing how one person can inspire others to make a difference.

The other day, I read something really interesting! Apparently, AI data centres all over the world use as much electricity in a year as Germany uses in a year. It seems like as technology develops, energy consumption is not going to decrease. So, what can we do? Well, it depends on what the rich and powerful decide to do.We can all do our bit, but if we don’t spark big changes, we’re just getting started.
